Spring classes start in January! |
This program is designed to train interpreters who facilitate linguistic and cultural communication between patients and healthcare professionals at doctors' offices, hospitals, emergency rooms, and other medical facilities. Only signed language interpreters who already hold certification are eligible for this program. Although signed language interpreters are not required to go through the screening tests, they are required to fill out our online admission application and provide proof of certification. In addition, Registry of Interpreter for the Deaf (RID) certified interpreters will be able to earn RID CEUs for participating in our programs through RID's Independent Study program. Participants will be responsible for initiating this process with a Certification Maintenance Program Sponsor.
